A Family Affair: Snow!!

I got a little stir crazy today, and I was already feeling better so I decided I wanted to go out side, and I did. And it snowed. A lot. My Moma, Daddy and I all wrapped up, put our Duck Boots on, and went out.

My family is really weird in that we love to drive in snow. But we know how to drive in snow. It looks like we weren't the only ones. It was a really good day! As you can guess we were in that part of the country who was hit by snow last night, and we are getting more now. I took the picture of the yard stick this afternoon and I couldn't believe my eyes. 8 INCHES!!!! Everyone stay safe, and stay warm! So what is your favorite part of the snow? Did it snow were you live? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

SmartWool Hiking Socks

With this arctic weather that is hitting the south this week, and the snow that my area got last week, I have been wearing my Duck Boots. Since I do not have the insulated Duck Boots, I wear SmartWool Medium hiking socks.

I absolutely love these socks! They are so soft and warm that my feet feel like they are in a tropical paradise. Like I said, I have been wearing them almost nonstop for the past week because it has been so cool wear I live. The inside of the SmartWool socks are not like you would think wool would be, itchy, they are super soft and non-itchy. Unless you have a very bad allergy to wool, these socks may not even bother you. The socks are not very thick, just a little thicker then your normal pair of socks.

I highly recommend these socks to any one who has Duck Boots or is planing to go camping anytime soon. Is there anyone out there who's feet are freezing? Anyone who wants a pair of these SmartWool socks? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Warm Winter Pajama Pants

Aren't these cotton pajama pants from J.Crew so adorable?! I am one of those people who sleep in shorts and t-shirts all year long. I wear my Daddy's old oversize t-shirts and own half a dozen pairs of boxer shorts because I like to sleep in them. I have tried to sleep in long pants, but I just can't do it in my room, other places sometimes. I would love these pajama pants to wear at home. I like wearing PJ pants when I am awake, just not when I am sleeping. Who would just love these PJ pants? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic Monday!

Land's End Christmas Gifts

I love after Christmas because you get to wear all the new clothes that you get! Two things that I got for Christmas was a shirt from Land's End, and a vest with Tennis racket embroidery.

This is a perfect outfit for a day when you are out and about shopping, or just taking a nice stroll in the park. Everything in the outfit is from Land's End Except for the Bean Boots, which are from L.L. Bean.

What were some of your favorite Gifts that you got for Christmas? I would love to hear! Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

A Family Affair: The Duck Boot

Hello, how is everyone this lovely Friday? Sorry, about my absence for the past two days, I have exams next week and we have been hardcore reviewing all week. So while I was studying I had a strange realization: my Moma, my Daddy, and I all have out own pair of duck boots.

Left to right: Mine, Moma's, and my Daddy's

My Daddy recently got his out after the snow we recently had. This is only after them being in our back room for a few years. He has the 6 inch Men's Bean Boots. By the looks of it, he got these before I was born…

I took my Moma's duck boots hostage last year because I didn't have a pair of my own. The pari in the picture is of the are a earlier form of these. But she also has another pair that aren't exactly boots, but L.L. Bean's Bean Rubber Moc. They are in the back of her car incase she is at work and it starts to snow. She is not one of those people who likes to wear her Tory Burch Reva's in the snow.

I got mine in October and have worn them so much. I have the 8" Women's Bean Boots in Tan/Navy. I liked the navy more because I have more navy things them brown things. But just look at the difference between my pair and my Moma's pair.

Thank you for reading and have a preptastic weekend.

What Cold, Wet, and Slushy? . . . SNOW!!

Today was the first day that we had snow. Okay, it wasn't really snow, more like slushy, wet stuff that stuck to the ground. It has snowed/sleeted/rained all day and it is really dreary out side. My Daddy and I ventured out to go to the card store. The roads were almost deserted on the way to town. but boy did I appreciate my Duck Boots on a day like today! The thing is I like snow, but I like to be inside when it is snowing. I am a May baby after all. I stayed in side the rest of the day, my Moma made chili for dinner and I as so happy!

Today's outfit!

L.L. Bean's Adirondack Barn Coat

I was looking for a winter coat in my closet this past week and I found one of my old Barn Coats. I was form when I was 8 or 9 and was a XL kids size. It fit me beautifully, the arms were a smig short, but all in all fit me perfectly. I wanted to see if I could get another coat like it and I found the Adirondack Barn Coat on L.L. Bean.com.

This jacket especially reminds me of a Barbour jacket, except instead of $300 it is $80. I like this jacket a lot because it is not to heavy, and if it is cold enough you can put a sweatshirt under it. For the reason of putting a sweatshirt under a jacket, I was ways get a jacket like this a size up. So I normally wear a Large in jackets, even though I wear a medium in t-shirt size I have ways gone up a size when I buy sweatshirts, I would most likely buy a Large or Extra-large in this jacket.

Like everything L.L Bean makes I know that it will last a long time and look good as new in ten years. This jacket is great, it is not to constricting, while still being stylish and warm. They make then in a mens version too! Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!
