The Investment Shoes

This is a similar post to the one that I did about The Investment Handbag back in February. I think that a pair of shoes can define you, and your day. Investment shoes are not $100-$200 shoes, they are the $400 and up. They last for years, go with almost everything, can go from day to night, office to a dinner date, and in some cases are the defining feature of your work style. Here are a few shoes that no matter what stage in life you are in you will be able to wear. All of these shoes are available in classic black, but also nude.

I can't wait until I can buy all of these shoes! What was your first big shoe buy? what do you want your first big shoe buy to be? I would love to hear in the comments! Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

The Perfect Crossbody for Fall

I was cleaning my room and I found a Old Navy gift card. I was thinking it was like a $25 dollar gift card, but no, it was even better, it was a $50 gift card! Don't you just love life little surprises? With this little surprise gift card, I purchased this lovely crossbody, that I think I will use a lot!

It is the perfect length and surprisingly spacious inside! It was a great steal at under $25! The color i got was cognac, I feel that it will go with a lot of the fall and winter clothes that I have, which is always good! Comment below with some of your favorite crossbody's for fall! Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

My Sweet 16!

I thought that since my AP World History exam is done, (finally! I studied for a month for that thing!)  I would write a blog post about a milestone. Yesterday, was my 16th birthday, and i had my first driving lesson for Behind the Wheel! But alas, I can not drive by myself or get my listens until August. Because it was the celebration of my 16th year, I had a party. Nothing big, but my parents and my grandmother. I have not really seen the point in having big birthday parties until I and like 18 or 21. Since I live in Virginia, and you can't get your learners permit until you are 15 and 6 months, and you have to hold your permit fro 9 months before you can get your license, if you get a car for your 16th birthday, you will most defiantly not be able to drive it with out a parent or adult in the car for another 3+ months. Per normal birthday tradition, I did get gifts and cards. One of the cards my Moma wrote me made me cry, happy tears, but still. Here were some highlights:

FitBit Flex (and it's PINK?)
The fact that it is pink, thus making it match and/or compliment everything in my wardrobe, make it's that much better! I wanted a FitBit, not only because I could use it as an odometer and see how fare i walk in a day at school, but also because it can take so much more. It is not only a heath/diet thing (which I will not be using to diet with), but it is also a healthy lifestyle tracker gizmo. I can log how much water I have drank, how many calories I have eaten, how far I have walked, AND how well and how long I sleep.

Clothes
I think that it is a must for a just fashion blogger that her parents buy her clothes for her 16th birthday right? Well, Me being the  savvy shopper and sale seeker that I am, helped my parents save a few bucks by telling them sales and special offers at J.Crew.com... Aren't I the best! ;)

Monogramed Necklace and Earrings
Another must for a prepster, don't you think? My other monogramed necklace that I got for my 14th birthday was getting really dingy so I stopped wearing it 6 months ago. I am so happy that my parents (aka the best parents EVER) bought me a new monogramed necklace! I was beginning to be scarcely non monogramed each day.

Clifford the Big Red Jeep
I will do a post about my parents, now my, car.

Yesterday was also another big day, it was something called Perch, its like a retreat sort of thing that everyone in the High School and the eighth graders at FA gets to to. We all pile into buses and are taken to a retreat type of place to swim and get sunburnt, I did only the latter... My legs were killing me yesterday afternoon, but thank God that I am Mediterranean because when I woke up this morning half of the sunburn on my legs have already turn into a tan.

What is your favorite birthday gift that you have ever gotten? What was you worst sunburn? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

The Investment Handbag

Yes, yes. I am starting to think about what I want my first real "grown-up" purchase to be. I have decided that a really nice pursue will do for me. I don't mean a couple hundred dollars I mean me buying a thousand plus dollar hand bag. I have a few in mind, but your lives change and in five to ten years when I am ready to make this purchase I may decide something totally different.

Chanel Grand Shopping Tote XL
I can't wait till the day that I have saved up enough money to buy one of these beautiful bags! I know that it will most likely last me a life time and it will be something that my kid always sees and thinks "I want one of those when I grow up!" That what what it was like for me. What was your first big splurge? What do you want your first big splurge to be? I would love to know what you think in the comments!!! Thank you for reading and have a peripatetic day!

Bloomingdale's

I. Love. BLOOMINGDALE'S! I had always heard about Bloomngdale's, normally in the same conversation as such stores as Nordstrom, Saks, etc. But I have never personally shoped at Bloomingdales, well, maybe once in my 15 years. This Christmas my Moma wanted a bubble gum pink (it's not as bad looking as it is described) Large Longchamp Le Plaige. I check on Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman's, Neiman Marcus, and every store that sold Longchamp's. The only store that had the color that my Moma wanted was Bloomingdale's. I guess Bloomingdale's saved by butt this Christmas.

There are so many great brands that Bloomingdale's sells! The ones that none of the stores near me sell, so it is my favorite place just to look and ogle… and maybe drool a little…

Rouge Allure Gloss // Le Vernis Nail Colour

Chanel
One thing that can always brighten by day is anything Chanel. Chanel lip gloss, nail polish, blush, anything Chanel. At least they have my favorites of Chanel, their blush and lipstick/lip gloss. I have started to fall in love with Chanel nail polish, the colors are so pure and just perfect!

Tory Burch
Oh, how I love Tory Burch, and oh how hard it is to find… It is so nice to finally find a website that just gives me the products that I want to look at with out beating around the bush.

Salvatore Ferragamo
Bows, the one word to describe the fabulousness of Salvatore Ferragamo! They have bows on ballet flats, low heel pumps, even higher pumps, and purses. What more can you ask for from a brand?!

Gallaway Tote // Shawl Collar Cardigan

Ralph Lauren

Yves Saint Laurent/Saint Laurent
I had always heard about Yves Saint Laurent, but honestly I never gave it another thought (beside trying to pronounce "Yves"). After doing some research, i fell in love with YSL! I like their lip gloss stain just as much as I like Chanel's, which is defiantly saying something.

Backpack // Expandable Travel Duffle Tote

Longchamp
I think that a single word can cover my feelings towards Longchamp. LOVE. Longchamp's are always quality and versatile products that will last forever and never go out of style.

Another great part about Bloomingdale's is their Loyalist program, there are no gimmicks, or credit cards to get it. You just sign up and get points for how much you spend (and double points on cosmetics!). If you buy a $25 product, you will get 25 points to your Loyalist account. Easy as that.

What is your favorite store? Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, or Bergdorf Goodman? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

A Very Preppy Christmas and an Even Preppier New Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families! I have to say that I loved all of my gifts that I got for Christmas this year. Here are a few of my favorites:

Bag // Number 4 Haircare Spray // Beauty Blender // Cross Pen
My Passport Hard Drive // L.L. Bean's Bean Rubber Moc // L'Occitane Lotion Set
Pocket Knief // Necklace and Earring Set // Watch

The Barrington Bag, let me tell you, I am in love! It is big enough for me to put my lap top in, but not to big that I can't use it as a purse. The L.L. Bean Rubber Moc's are also a favorite, they are great for light rain and when i really don't want to put my socks over my pant legs. I also like the pocket knife from L.L. Bean, it is the perfect size for my peruse, but still a useful size. I will just have to remember to take it out of my purse before I fly.

The L'Occitane hand lotion set has saved my butt. My hands have gotten so dry in the past few days. I hate the polar vortex… The hard drive was also very needed for my sanity.

What was your favorite gift that you got? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Fall Favorites

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves are turning, the weather is getting cold, but not too cold. The down sides to autumn is that when the leaves fall, the allergies start, and I have to play tennis is the freezing wind by the end of October. Since tennis is over and I am only playing tennis two days a week, I promise to blog more. Honestly, blogging relaxes me and I have been missing it.

Before I share my Fall Favorites, Happy November!

Now for my Fall Favorites.

Leopard Print Love

Last week, my Kiki Ballet Flats in leopard print from J.Crew came in and I immediately had the perfect outfit in mind.

Since this outfit involved jeans, I had to wait and wear this preptastic outfit on Friday. But I got so many complements on it. I thought that this was an outfit that gave an edge of classically modern. It is not completely what you would see on the runway today, but also not what you would see in the women's magazines of the 1950's and 1960's. It weirdly timeless, but strangely chic and on the edge.

Leopard print has been making a big appearance in my life lately. My iPhone case is leopard print:

I have always loved leopard print, cheetah print, zebra print, etc., but this year I have noticed that animal prints have really been trending lately. I think one of the main reasons why I love animal prints like leopard is because it is a stunning show stopper, it makes people turn and notice you in a good way. I have never been a very plain person, I have always loved bright colors and strange prints. I have always looked good in not-so-ordinary things. I am a firm believer in what you wear is a reflection of your personality, so always wear something that you would want to meet someone that you have never meet before to make a good impression.

Who loves leopard print, too? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Loly in the Sky: Fernanda Loafers

I just love Loly in the Sky! I asked for these shoes for Christmas, and because I have the best parents in the world, I got them. But I didn't get everything I wanted. Not by any means. I was really happy that I got these. These are so versatile that I can wear them with jeans, a casual skirt, or just a normal school outfit. I have another pair of Loly shoes that I talked about in the this post. They are super comfortable and really easy to wear. They remind me of Toms a lot, I don't know why, but they do.

I have already said how much I love these shoes, but they are just a pair of shoes that makes people take a double take, and say, "I have never seen shoes like that." They are classic chic with a modern twist. What do you think? Love them or hate them? Who wants a pair? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Who doesn't want this Kate Spade Belt? I have had my eye on this belt for months! But I don't know what I would wear it with, so I have not bought it yet. New Frye Boots!!

I love Frye boots. I now have three pairs. My Nana got me new boots for Christmas! I already had a pair of Billy Pull On's (Cowboy boots), and another pair of  Jane Riding boots.

I have been wanting these boots for a while. My Friend kNea also has a pair of the same boots. I have already worn them a few times and they are supper comfortable. They also have about a inch heel, to give a little hidden height. I know for certain that i will be able to wear these Frye boots for a long time. Frye boots last for ever, and they can be re-soled.

Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!
