Currently in Love With: J.Crew Leopard Print Kiki Ballet Flats

I have had my eye on J.Crew's sale area for months in the hopes that the Kiki Ballet flats would finally be in my price range to buy. It just happened that they finally were, and they were in my size! Obviously I grabbed them up as fast as I could, because I am head over heels in love with them!

They are just so adorable and so classy that I couldn't pass them up again. I love leopard print, my phone case is leopard print! The little bows are just another plus to these perfect shoes! Who else is obsessed with animal prints? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

I Am in Love With My Barn Coat . . .

Santa brought me something that has been very beneficial in the past few weeks with all this arctic weather: my very own L.L. Bean Barn Coat! But this is not just any ordinary barn coat, it is insulated with Lightweight Thinsulate, which makes it supper warm without being super balky. It is honestly one of the warmest coats I have ever owned.

I love how it looks like a Barbour jacket, but is half the price. Who just loves their L.L. Bean Barn Coat! Because I definitely do! Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

SmartWool Hiking Socks

With this arctic weather that is hitting the south this week, and the snow that my area got last week, I have been wearing my Duck Boots. Since I do not have the insulated Duck Boots, I wear SmartWool Medium hiking socks.

I absolutely love these socks! They are so soft and warm that my feet feel like they are in a tropical paradise. Like I said, I have been wearing them almost nonstop for the past week because it has been so cool wear I live. The inside of the SmartWool socks are not like you would think wool would be, itchy, they are super soft and non-itchy. Unless you have a very bad allergy to wool, these socks may not even bother you. The socks are not very thick, just a little thicker then your normal pair of socks.

I highly recommend these socks to any one who has Duck Boots or is planing to go camping anytime soon. Is there anyone out there who's feet are freezing? Anyone who wants a pair of these SmartWool socks? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

The Moleskine: Timeless, Chic, and Utilitarian

They are small and compact, utilitarian and colorful, and most of all timeless. The had been around for years and years, and have never lost their usefulness or charm. They can be big, or they can be little. Lined or not lined. Colorful or black. No matter what size or color, they are always recognizable. They are Moleskines.

I love Molskines! I can use them for school, for the blog, or just for life. For Christmas I asked for the two smaller Moleskines. The bigger one I bought for myself, so that I could use it for blog stuff. I will talk about how I use the Moleskines in my blog planning in another post. I think that there is something so chic about it. No mater if you are a brainiac, or a fashionesta, you will love Moleskines.

I bought the monograms from an Etsy shop. I thought they needed something to make them mine. I was off of school because of snow and I thought why not get artsy with the pictures, so that is why I made a little photoshoot. Who can not live with out their Moleskine? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Loly in the Sky: Fernanda Loafers

I just love Loly in the Sky! I asked for these shoes for Christmas, and because I have the best parents in the world, I got them. But I didn't get everything I wanted. Not by any means. I was really happy that I got these. These are so versatile that I can wear them with jeans, a casual skirt, or just a normal school outfit. I have another pair of Loly shoes that I talked about in the this post. They are super comfortable and really easy to wear. They remind me of Toms a lot, I don't know why, but they do.

I have already said how much I love these shoes, but they are just a pair of shoes that makes people take a double take, and say, "I have never seen shoes like that." They are classic chic with a modern twist. What do you think? Love them or hate them? Who wants a pair? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

So . . . My Family Bought a New Car!

My Daddy's 2000 Volvo V70 sort of died on us yesterday. The car was bought three months after I was born and had over 400,000 miles on in. The Volvo had been abused by me, my Moma, and my daddy over the years, from spilling iced tea everywhere to spilling ketchup in the back seat. It lived a very hard life… My Daddy has to drive 100 miles a day round trip to get to work, and my Moma is always worried that he is going to get stuck on the side of the road. My Moma finally decided that it was time to get a new car. So my Moma and I went by the car dealer ship and test drove one, and we finally decided on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

My Parents bought a red Jeep Cherokee in 1992 and we still have it. It was the car that I was brought home from the hospital in when I was born, so I have a slight (or major) emotional attachment to the our Jeep. My whole family loves the Jeep, so that I why my Moma wanted to look at a Jeep first. We already knew that we could trust Jeep, and that even in this day and age, last a long time. (Come on, almost 21 years!)

Even though I am only 14, I got a little more input on what I thought of the car because I was probably going to end up driving it some after November when I get my learners permit. The one thing I knew that I may have a problem with is that the seat would sit to low and I wouldn't be able to see over the steering wheel. I mean my Moma has to watch out for the same problems, we are both short, and for me my legs are way longer then my torso is. My torso is smaller then an average person my height. But in this car my Moma has no problem seeing over the dash at all, and neither do I.

Before today, I had my heart set on setting a Subaru Forester. Now, I want a Jeep Cherokee in red. What can I say, I really love red Jeeps. I never realized how reliable and affordable Jeeps are. My Moma out right said to the sales guy that she was willing to day $2,000 more on the car we bought because it was a Jeep.

Who has a Jeep? Who would buy a Jeep? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Warm Winter Pajama Pants

Aren't these cotton pajama pants from J.Crew so adorable?! I am one of those people who sleep in shorts and t-shirts all year long. I wear my Daddy's old oversize t-shirts and own half a dozen pairs of boxer shorts because I like to sleep in them. I have tried to sleep in long pants, but I just can't do it in my room, other places sometimes. I would love these pajama pants to wear at home. Madewell: Black Watch Plaid Accessories

Something that I have fell in love recently is black watch plaid. I have been on the look out ever since Christmas for things in this pattern, but not many retailers offer products like this. Luckily, Madewell offers three that are all useful, but stylish.

I am defiantly going to have to get that umbrella, its raining cats and bogs were I live!!!! There is just something so timeless about black watch plaid. I hope everyone has a great weekend, I know that my first week back at school has been rough. But his morning i had a two hour delay which was nice. Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

The Eos Smooth Lip Balm Sphere

I posted about my bedside table on Tuesday, and something that I have recently added to my bedside table is my Eos lip balm sphere. I love Eos because they are so cute and easy to put on. You may not be able to put them in your pocket like normal lip balms, but they moisturize so much better. I love the Sweet Mint, the color and the smell. Chap stick is always great in the winter when it is cold. I know my lips get really ashy if I don't put chap stick on.

My New iPhone!!!

I have had my iPhone 4 since July of 2011. Unfortunately, in August of 2012 i dropped my iPhone 4 and cracked my screen. It was one single crack that, thank heavens, never expanded or got worse. Now  2 1/2 years later I have a new phone. The iPhone 5s in Gold.

I loved my iPhone 4 so I knew I wanted an iPhone 5s. My Daddy tried to take my to the phone store on Christmas Eve, but I told him to turn around because I didn't know what kind of iPhone I wanted. I also had to more or less think through something that I look at and use everyday of my life. It is a big thing, and a big commitment when buying a phone. The day after Christmas my Daddy and I went back to the phone store looking to upgrade. My Daddy has had his phone for almost 3 years, so it was time for him to get and upgrade too. He got the iPhone 5s in Silver after consulting me, his fashion guru. Both of us got the 64GB because I have that much music and he has that many pictures. He got his phone in-store because of some complication with his phone actually being to old, and I had to wait for them to ship it to me. And it finaly came in the mail on Monday!!!!

After a few hours of procrastinating on doing my homeward on the first day back from Holiday Break I had set up and restored my new iPhone with my old iPhones settings. I am still trying to get use to the feel and the layout of the screen, but I still love it! I am most definitely a Apple Girl at hart. I also have two cases that I got for Christmas that I just LOVE!!

The Bedside Table

Like most teenagers I spend a lot of time in my room. So something that I look at and us a lot is my bedside table. Since I think that something that a person looks at, uses everyday is a representation of a person and their personality.

On my own bedside table I have my alarm clock, lamp, some hand cream, an eos, a pencil cup that I got for Christmas this year, and a little dish with a quote on it. My alarm clock was a Christmas present from two years ago, it is one of my favorite present that I have ever gotten. The picture my Moma found and gave to me because the girl looks a lot like I did when I was little - I can just pass it off as me. The lamp is Vera Bradley from a few years ago.

I absolutely love the eos and the quote dish is so presecuoise. My Daddy bought it for me after I own my first school election in 6th grade. The quote on it is something that I all ways remember when ever I am running in an election, school or other wise.

The pencil cup is the Monogramed Acrylic Pencil Cup from Design Darling, I also have the matching business card holder to match. I always have to have some hand lotion around. Playing tennis is tough on your hands, and my calluses are really bad on my palms.

You, as the reader, can know tell a lot more about me by what is on my bedside table. What is something that may be quirky or unique that you have on your bedside table that makes it yours? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

New Frye Boots!!

I love Frye boots. I now have three pairs. My Nana got me new boots for Christmas! I already had a pair of Billy Pull On's (Cowboy boots), and another pair of  Jane Riding boots.

I have been wanting these boots for a while. My Friend kNea also has a pair of the same boots. I have already worn them a few times and they are supper comfortable. They also have about a inch heel, to give a little hidden height. I know for certain that i will be able to wear these Frye boots for a long time. Frye boots last for ever, and they can be re-soled.

Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Great Speakers

For Christmas my Daddy got me a DIGIX miniBOOM. I love it because it uses Bluetooth to connect, it is rechargeable, and can attach to most surfaces. In addition it is water resestence so you can attach it to the wall of the shower, or have it next to the pool in the summer time.

I fell in love with this speaker, it is about the size of a fist, but has amazing sound quality! I can have the bathroom door closed and have the shower running and you can hear it all over the house. My Moma actually had to come in and turn the volume down. It also has a microphone built-in so you can call. It can also hold a charge for up to 7 hours. They are also very affordable, and I bet will last a long time.

Who wants one of these speakers? Who also has one of these? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!

Mother-Daughter Day Shopping Trip!

My Moma and I have a tradition that between Christmas and New Years she and I go out for an entire day. Just me and her. Mother Daughter Day we just do fun things, like last year she took me to stage production of Les Miserables. I had so much fun! We stayed at a hotel, had dinner, and just hung out.

Unlike last year when my Moma had everything planed out, this year all we wanted to do was go and shop for clothes. My Moma had promised me that she would have taken me to the Ralph Lauren Outlet store and to the J. Crew Outlet that is right next to it. In the same outlet center, there is a Talbot outlet store, and a Kate Spade Store.

So on this shopping trip, there were some really great deals. So this is what i got on the shopping portion of the day.

From Ralph Lauren:

The first store we went to was the Ralph Lauren Factory Outlet. I wear my Ralph Lauren button-downs religiously. I travel in them, I wear them to school, around the house, you named I would most likely wear my Ralph Lauren button-downs there. My Moma promised me that we would go shopping. I just saw the cute pearl earrings and thought, "A girl can never have to many pearls."

From J. Crew:

Glittery-sequin shoes… now I can be a walking hazard for everyone around me. I have been wanting a pair of Etta Pumps for a while.

Color-block Boatneck Tee (Similar)

So we weren't even intending on going to J. Crew, but I did walk away from it with 4 dresses. They are all such classic dresses that I can wear to school and to other places. My Favorite may have to be the Retro Ponte Dress, I just think it is so pretty.

From Kate Spade:

I just love there little bags…

These may be the cutes earrings I have ever seen! I love Kate Spade!

My Moma wanted to go to talbots, but all they do is stuff there outlet store with stuff that they wouldn't sell in their real stores. We then went to Chipolte, and then we went to the Ripley's Believe It or Not. My Moma and I had so much fun! Mother-Daughter Day is one of my favorite family traditions.

What are some of you favorite family traditions? Thank you for reading and have a preptastic day!
